Lyadov's piano music series is completed

Volumes Three & Four of Complete Anatoly Lyadov Piano Works are released by Northern Flowers label (distrubuted by Alto). Voumes 4 contains few pieces and sketches, never recorded before.

Thus, Olga Solovieva completed the project started in far 2004.

Now the series is the mostly complete set of Anatoly Lyadov's works composed for one pianist.

And very important is that Olga Solovieva is the pianist of Russian piano school tradition: her Professor at the Gnessins Academy was Leonid Blok, the pupil of Alexander Goldenweiser (who was the pupil of Alexander Ziloti, close friend and dissiminator of Lyadov's music).

Participation at the 27th Lyadov Festival in Borovichi

In May 2016 Olga Solovieva participated at the 27th Lyadov Festival in Borovichi.

On May 4th she played the programme with outstanding cellist Alexander Rudin: Cello Sonata by Sergey Rachmaninov, Cello Sonata No.1 by Nikolay Myaskovsky, and pieces by Anatoly Lydov and his father, Konstantin Lyadov.

On May 11th there was a meeting at Borovich Museum, to commemorate Lyadov's 161st anniversary. Olga played few piano pieces by Anatoly Lyadov on the Lyadov's piano from toft Polynovka [At the toft Polynovka - which now is a part of Borovichi city - the major part of Lyadov's legacy was created. Here he spent all summers, and here he died on August 1914].
