10 October, Armory Chamber of Moscow Kremlin: Piano Quintet by Alexander Alyabiev was performed.
13 October, Tsaritsyno Museum: Piano Quintet by
Aloys Fleischmann was performed.
Both pieces were performed with
RTE Vanbrugh Quartet.

12 July 2012 - Castletownshend (Ireland): 
The performance with
RTE Vanbrugh Quartet in Castletownshend (Ireland), at the opening concert of 32nd St. Barrahane's Church Festival of Music.

Piano Quintets by Alexander Alyabiev, Aloys Fleischmann, and Johannes Brahms were performed.

29 June - 7 July, 2012 - Bantry (Ireland) Participation at the West Cork Chamber Music Festival, Bantry (Ireland).

Ivan Podyomov (oboe) and Peter Whelan (basson);

Also Olga gave three master-classes for young musicians - Westland Piano Trio [Roisin Walters (violin), Paul Grennan (cello), Fiachra Garvey (piano)].

28 June 2012 - Schilde (Belgium) The concert with Roel Dieltiens in Schilde (Belgium), at the Festival der Voorkempen Olga and Roel played the pieces for cello & piano by Martinu, Kodaly, Liszt, Rimsky-Korsakov, Dvorak, Prokudin, and Olga also piano pieces by Lyadov, Prokofiev and Boris Tchaikovsky.
On 27 June Olga also gave a master-class for young pianists in Academy in Schoten.

Russian Public Award to Olga Solovieva

Olga Solovieva was awarded by the Russian public award "For the Contribution to the Musical Art" and received the Glinka medal.

 

Ольга Соловьёва награждена общественной медалью "За вклад в развитие музыкального искусства" имени М.И. Глинки. Эта медаль вручается за выдающиеся заслуги перед государством и обществом, высокий профессионализм, многолетнюю плодотворную деятельность на благо Отечества.

New CD with 19th century Russian cello music

The unique collection of Russian 19th Century music for cello and piano was issued by Naxos (8.573951), recorded by Olga Solovieva with the cellist Dmitrii Khrychev.
This CD includes two cycles of pieces by Anton Arensky and several World premiere recordings: Tchaikovsky’s own original version for cello and piano of the Variations on a Rococo Theme, Konstantin Liadov’s Fantasy on Gipsy Songs, Karl Davidov’s Fantasy on Russian Songs, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s original version for cello and piano of Serenade.

 

The CD  was called as the "Best Bargain" of the week by famous British critic David Mellor: "...For anyone who loves Russian romantic music as much as I do, this is quite a discovery" (David Mellor, ClassicFM)

 

The CD is the Winner (Silver medal - outstanding achievement) of the Global Music Awards ('duo' and 'album' nominations).
