On March 2006 Olga participated at the 14th International Russian Chamber Music Festival in Ghent, Belgium (De Rode Pomp Hall) with soprano Olga Filonova, vocal music programme  (Mussorgsky, Medtner, Miaskovsky, Boris Tchaikovsky). 

In October 2006 Olga performed solo programme (music of Herman Galynin) in Alexandrov city (Tsvetaeva Museum).


In November 2006 Olga performed Shostakovich's Cello Sonata (with Rostislav Burkin) and Piano Trio (with Vladislav Naroditsky and Rostislav Burkin) in Moscow (Gnessins College) and in Voronezh (The Philharmony Hall).





Russian Public Award to Olga Solovieva

Olga Solovieva was awarded by the Russian public award "For the Contribution to the Musical Art" and received the Glinka medal.


Ольга Соловьёва награждена общественной медалью "За вклад в развитие музыкального искусства" имени М.И. Глинки. Эта медаль вручается за выдающиеся заслуги перед государством и обществом, высокий профессионализм, многолетнюю плодотворную деятельность на благо Отечества.





New CD with 19th century Russian cello music

The unique collection of Russian 19th Century music for cello and piano was issued by Naxos (8.573951), recorded by Olga Solovieva with the cellist Dmitrii Khrychev.
This CD includes two cycles of pieces by Anton Arensky and several World premiere recordings: Tchaikovsky’s own original version for cello and piano of the Variations on a Rococo Theme, Konstantin Liadov’s Fantasy on Gipsy Songs, Karl Davidov’s Fantasy on Russian Songs, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s original version for cello and piano of Serenade.


The CD  was called as the "Best Bargain" of the week by famous British critic David Mellor: "...For anyone who loves Russian romantic music as much as I do, this is quite a discovery" (David Mellor, ClassicFM)


The CD is the Winner (Silver medal - outstanding achievement) of the Global Music Awards ('duo' and 'album' nominations).
